I hope this OK to post here. I just had my truck inspected after that big hail storm that hit is at the end of Sunday service a couple weeks ago. Luckily my insurance should pay most of it. Looks like 6-7 thousand in damage. I am attaching to info for the shop I’m using below. My insurance didn’t cover a rental but they provide one for free. Hope this helps if anyone needs it. They have locations all over the metroplex.

Hail Damage

Lately I have been reflecting on the power of silence. Many Native American cultures understood this, and when asked a question or told something, they would sit in silence as they thought deeply before responding. Patience in responding was a sign of respect to the person that they were talking to, but it was also a way to harness and channel ancient wisdom. However, when the colonizers encountered this, most misunderstood this silence as a lack of intelligence.

Our Western cultures have indoctrinated us from an early age to an unnaturally fast paced way of thinking. In elementary school we are misled into thinking that whoever can raise their hand the fastest and provide the correct answer is the brightest among us. On the playground we learn that the quickest comebacks will propel us in the hierarchies of childhood. They really do condition us for the hampster wheel at an early age.

I am making a commitment to myself to try to slow down my reactions. To try to learn the value and power of silence. To turn down the transponder and to amplify the receiver. And to be more open to hearing my calling.

For me, this song embodies these thoughts. I'm sharing it now in hopes that it can help others as it has helped me.

Having been the ultra argumentative kid who got beat down, I over corrected and became agreeable, when my physical strength to back my shit up left me. It’s back… ultra argumentative-ness is growing exponentially because through strength I get my way. To a point.. please god. I found my voice, I found my strength. I am getting louder and getting stronger every day physically. I want my way. But I do not want to get it through strength and loudness. New intentions await me.

Yesterday we gathered to explore a powerful theme:

Where is tension living in your life — in your body, your mind, your relationships?
And what might it feel like to let in ease instead? 💛

We closed with a guided meditation on Returning to Safety, then shared a nourishing meal, laughter, and real connection at our community potluck.

Healing doesn’t have to be heavy — sometimes it’s a breath, a truth spoken, or a plate of roasted squash with your soul fam. 🥗🍠

I’m not feeling very “okay”. If anyone would be willing to talk that’d be awesome. I don’t have a therapist or anything, with the current financial strain I’m not sure where to put my few assets I have.

my friend Shelley got this going for me, its not easy for me to ask for help but its beyond necessary.

anything helps, art supplies, clothes, old makeup, shoes. Really anything. I’m a size 8 in shoes. I’m a size xs-med. I love you all and am so grateful to be alive. If I still drank my dog and I would

likely be dead. What a wild lesson.

my family garage was also a total loss. This is just a start to help me get some clothes so I can go back to work. No idea what or how much I need but again this is just a start. If you could share this link too I’d be forever grateful. I love you all x2
