Hello tribe, September unfurls its wings at Two Birds, and with it comes the promise of balance and introspection. 🍁 We are stepping into a transformative phase, one that is marked by nature's own rhythm and the celestial wisdom of the equinox. Just as the preceding month was guided by the luminescence of supermoons 🌕, September beckons us to align with the Earth's poised dance between light and dark.
First of the month means new ceremonies!. We're thrilled to see the enthusiasm from our members, and if you find yourself on the waitlist, don't worry as last-minute spots often open up, so be sure to join the waitlist for any ceremonies you are interested in. This month, our calendar is brimming with activities that pay homage to the equinox's energy. Along with our Virtual Services, Sapo/Kambo Circles, and weekly Sunday Services (including the much-loved "Little Birds" Kids Service), we've created an Fall (Autumn) equinox-special potluck! We try to do these every season, if you haven't made it out for one, yet these potlucks are a great time and way to connect with the community. We will also be facilitating a or gratitude ceremony, a traditional Andean practice that allows us to express profound appreciation for the gifts, lessons, and growth experienced throughout the year. The ceremony involves the creation of a beautiful and symbolic offering filled with natural elements like flowers, each representing a specific intention or prayer. As we navigate this transitional time, this ceremony underscores the beauty of letting go, the promise of rebirth, and the perpetual cycle of growth and renewal integral to our existence.
At the heart of this month is the Autumn Equinox, occurring around the 22nd, a day when day and night stand equal, embodying the essence of balance. This period is not just a shift in the calendar, but a spiritual bridge between the extroverted energies of summer and the introspective callings of fall and winter. As nature gracefully embraces this equilibrium, so too are we invited to recalibrate, reflect, and renew our spirits.
Energetically, this is our cue to turn inward. While summer had its fill of play, connection, and sunlight, fall whispers tales of rest, solitude, and deeper connections. As we honor the roots of the Autumn Equinox, it's time to give thanks, much like the harvest festivals of old, and welcome the season of abundance and gratitude. Whether it’s gardening, attending harvest festivals, or simply savoring a cup of cacao on a cool evening, the equinox invites us to celebrate and connect. While nature prepares for rest, our minds are ablaze, hungry for knowledge and growth. This month, let's lean into that, channeling the wisdom of our ancestors, who during these months, would gather around fires and soak in stories and lessons from the Elders.
With the Autumn Equinox at our doorstep, let us embrace the balance it offers. As the world pauses for a brief moment, let's find our harmony, set our intentions, and glide into the embrace of a season that promises both rest and rejuvenation.
Wishing you a September filled with gratitude, balance, and profound introspection,
A'ho 💛 Two Birds 🕊️🦅

My sweetheart Jeff's birth mama, Melanie, passed away this morning. Upon finding out that he was adopted, when he was 21 years old - after the death of his father (Who he later learned was his adopted father. His adopted mother died when he was 13) he searched diligently for his birth parents. He found Melanie, and since that moment built a strong bond with her. She loved us and her grandchildren tremendously. Her wit and humor will be missed.
Soar Melanie, soar far beyond the pain of forgetting, across the rainbow bridge 💖
We love you fiercely, and will continue to love one another in your honor.
I'll share any messages from you all with him 🙏😔💗

Windsongs phone isn’t letting her post on the app. Here’s a message from her!
“Hello StarLights! I wanted thank you all for the prayers and loving energy I've received since I've been in the hospital! They have worked wonders: I'm now back to my normal oxygen needs and I am finally feeling better than I have been in months! Since the last post, my condition has rapidly improved and I have lost 6 pounds of water weight, which has reduced the stress on my heart significantly! What a miracle!
I have been cleared my the medical team for discharge but it has been recommended that I remain in the hospital and attend in patient rehab until the end of the month. The reason for this is I have become severely de-conditioned since I've been feeling poorly for the last few months and in the hospital for so long. I would receive physical therapy for 3hrs a day which would help me to gain strength so that when I do get home, I am safely able to perform basic daily functions like feeding myself, showering, taking my meds and doing chores around the home.
So here's where I could use your continued energy and prayers: we are praying that my insurance approves this in patient rehab stay and that I can get a bed quickly!
I truly appreciate y'all fighting this battle with me in Spirit, and for those of you who have been able to come and visit me, it has meant the world to me! If you would like to visit, I will still be at Medical City McKinney until further notice. If/when that changes I will be sure to provide another update!
I love you all so much and am lifting you up in prayers of gratitude and celebration for the blessing that your presence in my life brings! Even if we have never met, know that I care for you and I pray that angels surround you and that you are able to see yourself through God's unconditional love and everlasting peace!
Please feel free to ceremoniously connect with me through song @ WindSongMovement.org/music ♥️ it is my medicine gift to you!”
