For those of you have attended a sacred ceremony, what were some unconventional methods you used to set intentions open your heart to healing from past traumas? @everyone

Hi two birds family- I’m very stressed out. I have been laid off, my car lease is up next month and has damage, and my credit is plummeting due to large balance. I’m asking for help from anyone who’s gone through similar challenges.

right now I’m trying to focus on both the “immediately apply” type of jobs and the “get referred and wait forever til starting” type of jobs that usually pay more. I don’t know how to balance these two so if anyone has advice on focusing/juggling priorities please let me know

I have an interview tomorrow, good pay, hopeful but it’s in person and an hour out and I am a single dog parent. My boy can maybe handle 10 hours at home but will be crazy when I get home so I’m trying to figure this all out.

Someone I met has a friend looking for a sublet starting this week which is a tight timeline and I found a farm that does long term work exchanges through wwoof and allows dogs. Tomorrow I’m going to call them to see if I could come sooner cuz I haven’t heard back. So then save money that way, apply to remote jobs, and go from there. At least save on rent, parking/transit etc, and city distractions. On other option is to ask my friend if I can live with her parents in their basement which I did 10 years ago as an intern in college for two months- so that just feels embarrassing and damaging to the relationship almost but truly I don’t know how to figure all this out.

I was hoping I could break into film this time around but it’s challenging to balance- I have sent my resume out there to everyone I’ve met in film. Mostly hoping if this farm thing works out I get to write more and maybe figure out more editing or camera skills tbh just to give myself something positive amidst this mental storm. To be honest I have been so incredibly burnt out.

also- I’ve been cutting off friends and people who clearly want to use me. I hope all of you are releasing the old. I truly feel like the old world is burning and the new one is being born 🔥🔥🔥

Reminder to mark your calendars! Our Summer Solstice event is coming up this month! We will have live music by Erica Covarrubias, a community potluck, and plenty of connection and fun! 🎶🍽️🤝

The Summer solstice represents the transition from action to nourishment, just as the Sun gives us life during the long days of summer. It’s a time to celebrate hope, light, and the journey from darkness to light. Summer teaches us to nurture ourselves and others, to be the light in the world, and to find meaning even when the path seems uncertain.

Join us for an evening of: ✨ Food ✨ Community ✨ Music ✨ More!

The festivities start after our Sunday service, so come early at 3 pm to join us for a cacao ceremony and stay all evening for the celebration. This is a potluck event, so if you feel like contributing, bring any dish you choose! Food is not necessary, but feel free to join us either way.

All church events are family-friendly and sober. Please do not bring any drugs or alcohol.

We celebrate every month, every day here at Two Birds, but a handful of times each year we honor the rhythmic flow of nature's seasons as sacred. These special moments are times for embracing the continuous cycles of growth and renewal, both within us and in the world around us. Join us this month for our Solstice Festival, where we'll celebrate the peak of the solar year with good food, great company, and festive joy.
