At Two Birds Church, ensuring the safety and well-being of our members is our highest priority. We have implemented comprehensive protocols to safeguard the use of Ayahuasca in our sacramental ceremonies, combining traditional practices with modern safety measures. These processes are continuously refined to ensure the best possible environment for spiritual exploration and transformation.

Pre-Ceremony Safety Measures

Comprehensive Screening: Before participating in a ceremony, members must complete a detailed medical information form, which includes:

  • Background information and previous Ayahuasca or plant medicine experiences.
  • Intentions for participating, ensuring alignment with sincere spiritual purposes.
  • A list of all medications currently being taken.
  • Disclosure of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD.
  • Information about past or present drug dependency or addiction.
  • Details about physical health conditions, including heart issues, blood pressure concerns, pregnancy, or implants, which may disqualify participation.
  • Confirmation of adherence to dietary restrictions required for the ceremony.
  • An affirmation that at least four months have passed since their last Ayahuasca ceremony to allow for proper integration.

Medical Review: All forms are reviewed by Church leaders and submitted to a certified medical consultant—a board-certified psychiatric pharmacist. This consultant provides final approval on participation, ensuring no contraindications exist with current medications or health conditions.

Participant Preparation

Facilitator Expertise: All ceremonies are conducted by trained facilitators, certified in CPR and First Aid, ensuring they can respond to any medical emergencies. Facilitators offer guidance and support throughout the entire process, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.

Small Group Size: Ceremonies are limited to seven participants, with three trained facilitators present to provide personalized attention and care. This ensures a high facilitator-to-member ratio for optimal safety and guidance.

Waiver and Emergency Contact: Before the ceremony, participants sign a waiver acknowledging their understanding of the rules and restrictions surrounding the sacrament. An emergency contact form is also completed to ensure preparedness.

Post-Ceremony Support

Post-Ceremony Integration: At Two Birds Church, integration is a sacred process. We offer a dedicated
digital integration course to help members process their experiences and apply the lessons learned during ceremonies to daily life.

Weekly Sunday Services: These services act as a continuation of the teachings from the ceremony, providing a supportive space for spiritual growth and reflection.

Participant Chat Group: Each ceremony group has a dedicated chat space to foster ongoing connection, share insights, and offer mutual support as members navigate their integration journey.

Continuous Commitment to Safety

At Two Birds Church, our safety protocols are rooted in care, respect, and responsibility. From meticulous pre-ceremony screening to ongoing post-ceremony support, we prioritize the well-being of every participant. By fostering a secure and supportive environment, we allow our members to explore the profound spiritual opportunities that Ayahuasca offers.

We remain dedicated to refining and enhancing these measures, ensuring that every ceremony is both sacred and safe for all who participate.
