@windsong Last night, the world lost a radiant soul, and my heart is heavy with the news. Just yesterday evening, I was talking with my dear friend, Cheasly. We had plans to hang out tomorrow. She was in good spirits—her usual vibrant, loving self—laughing, dreaming, creating. And now, today, she’s gone. The shock of it hasn’t settled. It’s hard to wrap my mind around the space she has left behind.
For those who may not have known her music, here’s one of the first times I heard her jamming—way back in 2013. A raw moment of her talent, where her voice carried the kind of magic that made you stop and listen.

And here she is, years later, leading a service at Two Birds Church, sharing her heart, her prayers, her songs with all of us:

Cheasly had that rare kind of presence—small in stature but overflowing with energy, with purpose, with devotion to something greater. Most will remember Cheasly for her incredible talent as a songwriter and musician. Her voice was like the wind, her lyrics like water—gentle but unstoppable, always carrying something deeper beneath the surface. But beyond her music, what struck me most was her drive to change this world. She lived and breathed transformation, not just in herself but in the people around her. She was the kind of person who left you different after knowing her, a little more open, a little more in tune with love.
We first met in the early days at a meditation group called Y.E.S., and from that moment, it was like finding a little sister, an inspiration, a force of nature wrapped in love and song. She challenged me, she inspired me, and she walked her path with courage and authenticity.
Cheasly was a huge part of Two Birds Church—her spirit filled the room in every ceremony, and her songs became part of our prayers. So many of the melodies we sing today were written by her, inspired by her journey with Ayahuasca, by the deep healing and wisdom she received and gave so freely. Even though she has left this physical world, her presence is still here. Her memory lives in every note, in every voice that carries her songs forward.
I know that every time I sing her words, she will be right there—dancing in the music, woven into the love we share.
Your name is starlight, Cheasly Daisy Windsong. 💫
We love you. We honor you. You are forever a part of us.
I never had the opportunity to meet her, but I’ve heard her music in ceremony several times, and I’m very grateful for that. Her music has helped me and many others. I wish her good rest, she will live on through her music and everything she gave
Beautiful eulogy, Jay. I lament never meeting her in person; it's clear through her music and mutual friends what a unique and beautiful spirit she was/is. Hoka hey.
@Bluejay I am sending you all my love, holding you close in my heart. If you need anything… a hug, a chat, or just someone to be there, I am here for you.
With all my love,
Patricia
