Have been reading Buddhism (dharma) and western psychology. It blows my mind how much they align 🤯

I miss everyone, can't wait to be back! ❤️

I agree! Depends on the psychologist's perspective to some extent but, I've thought before that many of the metaphors and stories of Buddhism are mirrors for reality that function by stimulating our minds to be creative and consider that we operate in multiple levels of existence and awareness, like the body, soul and world-soul-dharmakaya. Jung talked a lot about our different levels of awareness not just within the mind but also our roles in society. We are discussing No Mud No Lotus by Thich Nhat Hanh at TB book club, come join us for some excellent dharma talk! 🙏

@Sambo Yeah I was thinking something similar myself! I'm gonna check out that book, will stop by sometime :)

We miss you and Grace so much!

@undefined Miss y'all too!

Sergio Garcia

@glebg It sounds fascinating, share some books whenever you get a chance 📚 It totally makes sense from the perspective that the buddha never claimed to be God, only that he was awake. In a way it is much more neutral and practical about life. Almost like it is both a science and a religion at the same time. There is a good book by Dr. Tara Brach, Radical Acceptance, has become a classic and she talks a lot about the overlaps between Buddhism and therapy as her career.

@sergio Will add it to my reading list! :)
