I'm wondering if anyone can help me with something I've been struggling with.
How can I be at peace with people's decisions when they choose to be toxic or hurtful to others or myself? Do I just not engage and keep moving forward?
Setting boundaries is such a useful tool for this. Someone once told me that boundaries are not meant to push people away, but are to teach people how to engage with you. This helped me release any guilt or shame around drawing boundaries <3. There's an interview with Najwa Zebian about toxic people and healing from betrayal that is so beautiful and empowering. Check it out and let me know if you resonate with it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m0c0VDB_8s
Thank you so much!! This was definitely helpful info!
Every situation is different and requires its own discernment but for me when iv encountered toxic people in my life it was always best to just draw some boundaries and move on. I cant control those people or their actions but what I can control is my own choice to let myself be affected directly by it. Life's to short to spend any energy on toxic people when you could be spending it on people who give love and support and work towards lifting each other up towards our goals. But again for me it started with me recognizing it in my life, then recognizing its 100% within my control to make change and not put myself in those situations or see my way out if I'm in them.
Love it! Thank you so much!
