I'd like to know how to fast in order to take part in a ceremony

Two Birds Church

We do not specifically require or recommend fasting as part of the preparation. Instead, we advise adhering to a traditional dieta, which is a crucial aspect of the preparatory process. This dieta involves making significant dietary and lifestyle changes starting two weeks before the ceremony. We also provide more details on the diet and support in our ceremony chats for each group participant after signup.

Medications and Substances: We recommend eliminating all non-essential medications, marijuana, alcohol, and other prescription drugs from your system. It's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen.

Dietary Changes: For two weeks leading up to the ceremony, we advise following a vegan diet. This helps in detoxifying your body and aligning your physical state with the spiritual journey ahead.

Further Dietary Restrictions: Two days before the ceremony, we suggest further eliminating certain items from your diet. This includes salt, oils, fats, and meats. These restrictions are intended to purify your body and prepare it for the ayahuasca experience.

Post-Ceremony Diet: We also recommend continuing with the dieta after the ceremony. This helps in maintaining the clarity and benefits obtained during the ceremony and supports your body in the integration process.

Health and Safety: It's essential to listen to your body and ensure you are getting enough nutrients. If you have any health conditions or dietary concerns, please consult with a healthcare professional.

Spiritual and Mental Preparation: Alongside the dieta, mental and spiritual preparation is also crucial. Engaging in activities like meditation, mindfulness, or gentle yoga can be beneficial. And avoiding outside influences like social media and TV that aren't in alignment with your ceremony intentions.
