Hey ya'll! This April will be my first ceremony, and I want to be mindful of the preparations leading up to it. I have a VERY limited cooking space (a single crock pot and a small toaster oven/microwave). Do yall have good recommendations for large meals I can eat over a long period of time?
Oatmeal. Sad, unseasoned oats and water. Swap for cabbage, unseasoned and water, rice, etc. All nukable, if you do choose. 😝 😆 😂
Or, No, DON’T do ^that. 😬 I lost weight, and ambition, which lead to a more emo-avail state, but might’ve been excessive.. Really apparent once I ate proper at Jay’s that weekend. Those recipes shared on the dieta guide link look doable enough w/ a crockpot..!, e.g., some veggies, turmeric, and ginger! 🫚 🥘
🌿🍲 Hey, thanks for the question! Here's some info that might help: https://dieta.twobirdschurch.com/. We'll post more in your chat group as it gets closer to April, but really, it's about 2 weeks out from the ceremony when you would want to start getting mindful. The big ones to avoid are any recreational drugs, alcohol, and caffeine. The more time you can give yourself off of these, the better, to avoid any safety issues or going through caffeine headaches during the weekend. Remember, the dieta is a journey in itself; the more you put in, the more you get out. Something we talk a lot about is how Ayahuasca isn't a magic pill; it won't do the work for you. So, the diet can be a great way to get your feet on the ground and cultivate some discipline before the ceremony because, more than likely, you will get insights or messages during the ceremony showing you the things you are doing that are causing your imbalances - things Ayahuasca can't touch. By cultivating that discipline ahead of time, you're wayyyyy more likely to actually make life changes after the ceremony and put into practice the things you learned, rather than just sliding back into the same life that led you to wanting to do a ceremony in the first place.
As far as simple recipes, if you just google "vegan crockpot recipes," you'll find many pages dedicated to it, like this one: https://thegreenloot.com/vegan-crockpot-soups-stews-recipes/ These recipes are all perfect leading up to the ceremony. You don't even have to cut out the meats fully if you don't want to until 2 nights before the ceremony. That's when it gets to no meat, no oils, but it's only for a couple of days. Most importantly, listen to your body! You don't have to be perfect, and everyone is at a different place physically, so don't overdo anything. The main ones to avoid are medications, drugs, alcohol, and caffeine. 🥘✨
