Little Birds Tomorrow

Ahoy Scallywags!

On the morrow, we invite yer wee Parrots t' join us fer a Pirate Adventure with me, Cap'n Moonstone (Shane Clanton), 'n me trusty “Quartz-master”, Rose Chumbucket (Haley Clanton), as we:

  • Relax in tropical waters
  • Search for buried treasure
  • Swab the decks

We shall be havin some fanciful face colorin, epic scavenger hunts, snacks, and me old friend Henry, a water-shootin octopus, to cool everyone off. Saavy? So climb aboard me ship the Grape Chaser out at Elrod Bay fer a ruprousin’ good time me hearties!

Disclaimer: Not sure how I was selected to captain this ship but as you can tell, it may or may not be a more aggressive schedule than prior little bird days. Activities might include; face painting, peg-leg races, crafts, etc. depending on how much I can actually accomplish before then.

Importantly, we may also have a water sprinkler going. Now, I don’t know about your kids, but I bring a change of clothes pretty much everywhere since my children have their heart chakras aligned to running water of any kind and always seem to find their way in it. So I advise bringing a swim suit / towel if you’d like.

All setup for a cozy beautiful weekend

June, holds deep spiritual significance as we embrace the longest, lightest day of the year. It marks a time of powerful healing and rejuvenation, as the sun reaches its zenith in the sky. The summer solstice is a pivotal moment, signaling a shift in the year as the sun's power gradually diminishes, and the days begin to shorten. It serves as a humbling reminder of the ebb and flow of nature. This season offers us an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and the natural world, creating solstice rituals that allow us to bask in the power of the longest, lightest day.

To honor this sacred time, we can engage in various practices. Starting the solstice morning with sun salutations, a sequence of yoga poses, allows us to show gratitude to the sun and align ourselves with its life force. We can also immerse ourselves in nature's bounty, taking moments to appreciate the thriving flora and fauna and recognizing our connection to the intricate web of life. Embracing the longer daylight hours, we can bring life to our visions and projects, utilizing the extra time to cultivate our creativity and bring our aspirations to fruition.

In the spirit of ancient traditions, lighting a fire can symbolize the potency of the sun and serve as a focal point for gathering with loved ones. By inviting friends to celebrate around a bonfire or lighting a candle for personal reflection, we can acknowledge the transformative power of the sun and express gratitude for the experiences of the year so far. Immersing ourselves in water, whether by plunging into the ocean or creating a personal sanctuary at home, allows us to awaken our senses and cleanse ourselves of what no longer serves us. It is a time for setting intentions, embracing the light within us, and reconnecting with our purpose as we navigate the journey ahead.

As we honor this new month, we align ourselves with the cycles of nature and acknowledge the nourishing light of the sun and the light within each of us. This season encourages us to find patience, trust, and nourishment, mirroring the growth and evolution that occur in the natural world. Through rituals, gratitude, and setting intentions, we can celebrate this time of abundance and embrace the warmth and energy that guides us through the brighter half of the year.
