At Two Birds Church, the sacrament is safeguarded with strict measures to ensure both sanctity and accountability.

Preparation & Handling

  • Onsite preparation only — Ayahuasca is brewed by church leaders, honoring tradition and maintaining control of every batch.
  • Measured and documented — quantities are carefully measured; every step is supervised.

Secure Storage

  • Locked access — all sacrament is stored in a locked, temperature-controlled environment accessible only to authorized leaders.
  • Clear labeling — each batch is marked with date, quantity, and preparer.
  • Controlled inventory — storage logs track all remaining amounts.

Use & Tracking

No outside brews — only sacrament prepared and safeguarded by Two Birds may be used.

Consumption records — each ceremony documents who received the sacrament, how much, and when.

Integration & pacing — we encourage members to take time between ceremonies to integrate their experiences. The rhythm is unique to each person: some attend a few times in succession before pausing, others only a few times a year.

Facilitator discretion — if a pattern appears unhealthy (e.g., avoidance of integration or repeated use without reflection), facilitators may require the member to pause and participate in other community practices (such as Sunday Services) before returning to ceremony.
