At Two Birds Church, our team is united by a shared commitment to spiritual growth, personal responsibility, and authentic community. As a small, home-based church, our leadership is simple and clear: James and Christina guide ceremonies and services together as partners, embodying balance — masculine and feminine, structure and care — while Clayton provides steady governance and accountability as Treasurer.
Our facilitators do not heal others; instead, they safeguard the sacred container where each member can sit with themselves, face their fears, and discover their own inner wisdom. This partnership-centered approach ensures our ceremonies remain grounded, safe, and authentic, while avoiding personality-centered leadership.
James Elrod – Founder, Board President, and Facilitator
James serves as both Board President and primary facilitator of our sacred ceremonies. His path with Ayahuasca began in 2009, leading him to Peru in 2010 to study with Shipibo traditions under Don Enrique. This formative experience laid the foundation for the ceremonies he now leads, which blend reverence for traditional practice with a grounded, modern sensibility. He is also a certified Sapo practitioner under Peter Gorman and has spent years deepening his study of self-healing, responsibility, and spiritual growth.
Christina Titus – Board Secretary and Facilitator
Christina serves as Board Secretary and co-facilitator of ceremonies and Sunday services. Her compassionate presence, music, and organizational care help create the safe, grounded container that defines Two Birds Church. Christina’s own journey of healing and self-discovery allows her to embody the values of responsibility, courage, and love while supporting others in theirs.
Clayton Berger – Board Treasurer
Clayton serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors, ensuring the church’s financial matters are managed responsibly and decisions are made with transparency. As a long-standing, trustworthy member of the community, Clayton provides accountability and balance as part of the three-member board required by law. His support allows James and Christina to focus on holding space while ensuring the organizational foundation remains strong.
Shared Stewardship
Together, James, Christina, and Clayton form the Board of Directors of Two Birds Church. Their collective responsibility is to preserve the sanctity of the sacrament, protect the integrity of the community, and guide the church in alignment with its mission and shared principles.
Two Birds Church is not built around personalities but around the sacred work itself: Ayahuasca as teacher, authenticity as path, and community as connection. Through their combined efforts, the leadership team ensures our church remains a safe, sacred place for transformation and growth.
