At Two Birds Church, our ceremonies are lovingly held by James Elrod and Christina Titus, partners in life and in service. Together, they embody a balance of strength and compassion, masculine and feminine, structure and flow. Their partnership is at the heart of every ceremony, ensuring a safe and supportive space for members to face themselves honestly and open to transformation.
James Elrod
James’s journey with Ayahuasca began in 2009, when his own healing path led him to the medicine. In 2010, he traveled to Peru to study with Don Enrique of the Shipibo-Conibo tradition, completing an eight-week initiation with the Ayahuasca Foundation near Pucallpa. This foundation of traditional training—combined with his own continuous personal work—shaped the grounded, modern approach he brings today.
For over 15 years, James has facilitated ceremonies rooted in honesty and responsibility. His role is not to heal others, but to hold space where participants can face themselves with courage. He is also a certified Sapo Practitioner under Peter Gorman, adding depth to his understanding of the intersection between medicine, body, and spirit.
James’s steady presence helps participants feel safe as they encounter both the challenges and the beauty of the Ayahuasca experience.
Christina Titus
Christina brings music, empathy, and grounded strength to the ceremonial space. Her own healing journey informs the deep compassion with which she holds space, allowing participants to feel safe in confronting their truths.
Through instruments, song, and voice, Christina creates a soundscape that guides participants through emotional release and self-discovery. Her music is not for performance but for healing—it carries participants through the highs and lows of ceremony, offering both comfort and challenge when needed.
Her presence embodies care and authenticity, helping participants navigate even the most difficult moments with honesty and grace.
A Harmonious Partnership
James and Christina co-lead every ceremony together, weaving their complementary gifts into one unified container. Their partnership reflects the balance Two Birds Church holds at its core: masculine and feminine, strength and compassion, silence and song.
By holding ceremonies together, they ensure that participants are supported on every level—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Each ceremony is not only a sacred encounter with Ayahuasca, but also a lived expression of authenticity, courage, and love.
At Two Birds Church, James and Christina do not claim to heal or to hold answers. Instead, they safeguard the space where each member can discover that healing comes from within.
