Ayahuasca ceremony is part of the work

Two Birds is a church in Anna, Texas, north of Dallas, for grounded, everyday people doing real work on themselves. We’ve been building this community since 2010. Ayahuasca ceremony is one part of that work, inside a community that meets every Sunday. It isn’t a retreat.

Ayahuasca is our sacrament and teacher, and our approach is grounded in personal responsibility and modern psychology. Ayahuasca doesn’t heal us directly; it works like a mirror, and whatever comes up is ours to face. It is still a sacred, spiritual space, where spirituality is something each person lives, not something we preach.

James and Christina lead every ceremony, with six people at most. James first sat with ayahuasca in 2009 and trained in Peru in 2010; Christina leads the music.

Ceremony isn’t right for everyone, and trust needs to go both ways. We ask people to come to a Sunday service, share in the circle and take our courses before they sit with us.
